Arizona Dermatology Group offers a full range of dermatologic care including medical, surgical (including Mohs) and cosmetic dermatology. Our physicians and physician assistants provide comprehensive care for common skin problems to rare problems. We also provide a variety of in-office cosmetic and laser procedures. Arizona Dermatology Group would like to thank our surrounding communities, patients, colleagues, family and friends for your continued support and overwhelming referrals throughout the years. - Ray W. Johnson, M.D.

Doctor Ray Johnson purchased Arizona Dermatology Group in April 2005 after working for the existing practice for several years. He is a board certified dermatologist since December 1999. Dr. Johnson has a broad range of interests from clinical dermatology, to cosmetic dermatology with a specialized gift and interest in MOHS micrographic surgery.
Dr. Johnson began studying for his medical career at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and received his medical degree in 1995. He then completed his internship at Columia Presbyterian Hosptial before completing his residency and fellowship at Yale University in 1999. After spending a year on staff at Yale University, Dr. Johnson relocated to Prescott, Arizona where he began working for Prescott Dermatology. Doctor Johnson remained on staff with Prescott Dermatology for many years while also extending his services to dermatology practices

- R. Lanny Hunter, M.D.
Doctor Lanny Hunter is a native of Kansas and a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He interned at Baylor Medical School affiliated hospitals
and completed his dermatology residency
at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. He is board certified in Dermatology, Dermatopathology, and Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery. He is a member of the American Society of Mohs Surgery. Dr. Hunter established the Northern Arizona Dermatology Center in Flagstaff, Arizona in 1971 and practiced for 35 years in Flagstaff, with satellite offices in Sedona and Cottonwood. Following a brief period of retirement, he is now associated with Arizona Dermatology Group, where he is doing consultative medical dermatology and dermatologic surgery. Dr. Hunter is married, has four children and is a Vietnam Veteran, serving with the 5th Special Forces Group in 1965 and 1966.

- Anthony E. Scardino, Jr., D.O.

Doctor Anthony Scardino joined the medical staff of Arizona Dermatology Group in April 2005 after also working for the existing practice for many years. Dr. Scardino began his medical education at the Kansas City College of Osteopathy and Surgery. After graduating in 1964, he completed his internship at Lakeside Osteopathic Hospital before continuing preceptorship with his father Anthony Scardino, Sr., D.O. He continued working with his father for many years before opening his own practice in 1979 in Missouri. He then relocated to Michigan to work for an additional 9 years before moving to Arizona to retire. During this time, Dr. Scardino became a board certified dermatologist through the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology in 1981.
After a year of retirement, Dr. Scardino decided he was not ready to retire and began working with Prescott Dermatology in 2001 and has continued with the practice as Arizona Dermatology Group.

- Charles H. Johnson, M.D.
Doctor Charles Johnson is a board certified internist with a broad range of interests in general medicine and dermatology. Dr. Johnson studied human biology at Stanford University, receiving his B.A. degree in 1980. He received his medical degree at George Washington University in 1986 before completing residency training in internal medicine at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix. After spending a year as chief resident in internal medicine, Dr. Johnson was invited to serve on the teaching faculty for training interns, students, and residents at Maricopa Medical Center, a position held until 1996. He subsequently practiced internal medicine in Tucson and Phoenix before relocating to Prescott in the fall of 2006. He joined the professional staff of Arizona Dermatology Group in 2007 and has been engaged in the practice of medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology since that time. He became a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery in March 2009. Dr. Johnson has maintained a strong interest in dermatology throughout his medical practice of 20 years. As an internist, his experience in the allied fields of endocrinology, rheumatology, immunology, oncology, and infectious diseases provides a unique perspective for his practice of dermatology. With a focus on thorough patient evaluation and an integrative approach to medical problem solving, we feel he provides an excellent combination of qualities that make him a valuable asset to our practice.

- Juliette M. McCaffrey, MS, P.A. - C
Juliette grew up in Minnesota and began her medical experience at the age of 17 as a volunteer in Haiti. She then completed nursing school and acquired a B.S. in Biology at the University of Minnesota Duluth while continuing to gain experience as a nurse. She was then accepted to the Arizona School of Health Sciences in Phoenix, Arizona and graduated in 2001. Juliette has experience in both pediatrics as well as dermatology. Juliette began working with Prescott Dermatology in 2003 and has continued with the practice as Arizona Dermatology Group. She is married with two daughters.

- Sandra Hutchison, P.A. - C

Sandra has a broad knowledge in general medicine as a nurse and as a Physician's Assistant. Sandra received her Associates Degree in nursing in 1985. She furthered her education in 2002 and received her degree as a Physician's Assistant at Stanford University. Her extensive background includes primary care medicine, cardiac research, flight nurse, as well as trauma nurse in the Emergency Department.

- Deborah Pallett, P.A. - C
Deborah Pallett completed her Master's degree to become a Physician Assistant (P.A.) at the University of Iowa. She started her career working in a community health center in rural California through a government scholarship program. She spent a number of years in family practice and then oncology before specializing in dermatology. Prior to completing her training she worked in the field of environmental education and holds a Master's degree in experiential education from Northern Illinois University. She received her undergraduate degree from Northern Arizona University. Debbie is married and has 2 children. She and her family relocated to Prescott, Arizona in December of 2008.
